Default Best motor to use on stock TXT?

I have a 1996 Ez-Go TXT DCS. All stock with stock tires, I use it mainly moving 4 people around the flat lake lot and street. It has an add on back seat/cargo area.

My stock motor went out. I would like to replace the motor with an eye to the future. Is there a motor that will work well with the stock controller and solenoid but also respond well to a future upgrade?

Others will wake up soon and they will be able to advise you on what they would recommend. You really need to think about any and all upgrades that you may do in the future, like larger tires because that will change what you need if you go too large.

You can start looking here, he has great products and shipping has been fast for what I ordered.

Good luck

Thank you! I did see that and based on my research It looks like an Admiral MOT-B2 is what I want, but not sure.

I sent an email to scottyb at cartsunlimited but it was returned, mailbox full. I'm sure they are crazy busy and I hear nothing but good things about them, so no worries here. Just looking to confirm or get pointed in the right direction to avoid making a potental costly error.

Thinking that most likely not change tire size ever, but maybe a 400 amp controller, solenoid and upgrade the already upgraded 4g cables to 2g cables in the future once the kidos get a little older.
