Default detangling my mess. 48v Club Car Build

Just did some "horse trading" and brought home a 91 Club car.

Has a Alltrax Sr48500 from 3/18 as well as a Nidec "The Beast" model 7114 from 6/18.

I am not sure of the batteries condition, that is what I need a bit of help with, before I tear into things too deep. I am going to remove, clean check water and and see if I can get anything from them. BUT after looking at the wiring diagrams, I want to get some clarity on the mess I have, vs what it is suppose to be when I put it back together.

Pictures are attached, however I have attached a photo of what I have (drawing on right) vs what I found here on a sticky.

I know the cart kind of functions, just low power and I think partly due to the charger.

Just looking for some battery wiring advice for when I put the batteries back in and begin to address the functionality of everything else.

Thanks for all the help I know is coming, new to electric cars, looking forward to getting dirty with EV, and the goal is to have a cart that will make the trip from just off the island to the beach access this summer.....and back we hope!

Note that the batteries seem to have swelled. The cart appears to have sat for quite some time, and if those batteries were allowed to run down and sit dead for a while, they may not be recoverable. There's a great thread on here about cleaning out and rejuvenating batteries if you absolutely have to, but there's no promise that it will work. First thing I'd do is clean that cart. The wires look like 2 gauge to my tired eyes, and your solenoid also appears to be upgraded as well, so someone put some time and money into it.

Reminds me of this scene...starting from :38

If you are asking about the orientation of the batteries and cable routing, the attached is from the 1997 Illustrated Parts List.

First thing I would do is clean all the batteries and connections. Replace wires/ends if need be (hard to tell if those wires are old) to make sure that no problems there. Then work your way out from there. Got a good cart, at a great price, seems to me. Good source for cables:
