Default First time owner of G9 - Fouling Plugs

Hey guys. This is my first post so I will try to make it short and sweet. I just bought this G9 from a private party, I test drove it (ran OK not great) and when I got it to my shop it wont start for me. The plug is dripping wet and I can see some fuel spattering out of the carb when it is cranking. I have a dynamic spark tester and I see no spark all of a sudden.

2nd question - on the harness that goes to the coil there are 3 wires, black, red and orange. Where is the black wire supposed to be connected? Mine is dangling! Thanks

Matt

sound like carb issues for the spattering fuel, float stuck or miss adjusted, try cleaning it first! i dont no about the wire post some pics and we'll take a look.

Well I got it figured out. Thanks to smallblock450sl (Dave from Tacoma I think) I called about my cart and he helped me as much as he could over the phone. It turned out that the CDI Box had filled with water when I towed the cart home. It was very hard to diagnose because the coil would have spark and then none. We drained the water out and she fired right up! Thanks again.

I will be looking on here, but can anyone point me to some cool G9's?

Vtecjun, glad I could help in some small way, sometimes over the phone or here typing, it's hard to pin point and fix a problem. Sometime yes...sometimes no. You won't find a better G9 then Rons A thank you Ron and Dock98 and Vtecjun, for your kind words, It does make me feel good when I can help. "Pay it Forward"
