Ok, here it goes, I will start posting data on the sams club batts. I will post each batt reading and pack reading, and date of manufacture for each battery. I replaced my pack one or two batteries at a time over a period of a few months as money was available so manufacture dates vary.
1. 10/09, 8.7v
2. 10/09, 8.6v
3. 11/09, 8.6v
4. 4/09, 8.7v (was first installed 10/09)
5. 4/07, 8.6v ( was sams club batt in car when bought only one that didn't need replacement)
6. 4/09, 8.6v (was first installed 10/09)
Total pack 52v
This is after a full charge and at least 3 hours of sitting time. Charger is a Club Car PowerDrive2, model 22110, 48v/13A
I will post readings after my round of golf today with total gps mileage.

I think this is a good idea Frizbee .... I am going to give my observation as I see it, hoping to help interpet the data. A mixed pack used under gps is a good start. Can you describe the course as hilly, steep, or flat? Also tell us honestly if you spent half the day driving around the lake looking for your ball

I bought a set of Sam's Club batteries in June or July of '02. I'm still using them with no issues whatsoever. I will say, however, that I'm pretty fanatical about their upkeep. I've used ONLY distilled water in them, I never fill them past the tops of the plates (the water fill bottle takes care of that for me), and I charge them regularly. Everyone said I'd get no more than afew years out of them but here we are in '10 and I'm still OK. If they croak this summer, which is likely, I got 8 solid years from them. Not too shabby IMHO. Of course, your mileage may vary, but as the previous posters stated, maintenance is everything.

Luck has very little to do with how long a battery's useful life is ...
