Curious About Some Things........
Well as I was doing my daily, battery wipe down, clean up and tighten I noticed some things that I want some answer on.
One of my cables, and only one had a significant amount of corrosion build up on the bottom side, but yet the terminal is very clean and the connection was tight. Here are some pictures of the cable and the post that it mounts to:  Post towards bottom of the picture is where this cable end connects to:   Next, was one of the terminals on the back row of batteries look chewed up/melted??????? A piece of the terminal was laying next to it(in picture below)     Looks like pieces of the terminal are hanging off  Keep in mind, these are 2 different issues. The cable with corrosion was not attached to the problem terminal. Thanks for any help, Colton  |

Replace the two cables? VOM on the 2 cables have any out of the ordinary readings? That's not good bro, I hope you nip it in the bud before more serious problems arise.

The cables are brand new from Scotty. I think the batteries are my problem. Not sure but they are bad, that i do know

accelerated green or blue/green "corrosion" is almost certainly a product of residual flux. if the flux used was a pure rosin, the green is copper abietate (aesthetically unpleasing, non conductive, non corrosive). fluxes with a higher activation contain acids that, if not properly cleaned or completely consumed, are corrosive to copper.
