Can anyone identify this cart? Think it might be a caroche
A neighbor sent me these pics and offered to sell me his cart, knowing I was into carts.
I've never seen anything like this, and can only assume it's a caroche. Can anyone identify it? What should I look for when inspecting it? Also, should I purchase it or stay away, and if purchase, at what price? Thanks |

Picture of Body is Caroche for sure, ID would be (3) pedals. Left is emergency brake, next is regular brakes and right is throttle. These carts had hydraulic brakes which was a plus.

Re: Can anyone identify this cart? Think it might be a caroche
i have the mercury braking system and have spent an entire day adjusting the brakes to lock up at the same time only to come the next day and find them way off balance great cart, brakes are the biggest pain in the arse though.
but yes, that body is a caroche, if it has 3 brake pedals then it is a caroche chassis too |

Re: Can anyone identify this cart? Think it might be a caroche
I would say that you are going to have to rebuild the whole brake system ( IF ) you have already cleaned and lubricated the rear wheels, freed up your emergency brake cables, checked for pedal linkage and return spring for freedom? Its a common problem for wheel cylinder pistons to get corroded and need new cups and new interior and shoe return springs all around. Remove your master cylinder and wheel cylinders and go to your local (large) auto parts store and have them cross referenced from the casting numbers to get correct repair parts. I personally always replace the steel tubes and flex tubes to have a safe system.
