The 295 can be bored to stock 350 spec. but when used with a 295 crank the pistons will top out below the block deck height. the 350 pistons have the wrist pin bores closer to the top of the piston to allow for the longer stroke of the 350 crank. To make it work you will need the 350 crank. A 295 head on a 350 bottom will yield higher compression due to it's smaller combustion chambers.Would be cheaper to find a 350 bottom and use your head. Rejet your old carb or get the 350 carb.
