Default G16 Fuse Panel

I got my light kit, and am adding a pair of LED backup lights, tach and an hour meter. (Who knows what else later?!) I already have the new dash with everything installed and ready to go in.

I was looking at the light kit harness and saw that it was wired to go straight to the battery and through the switch. I really wanted a convenient place to wire everything and to avoid the inline fuses, etc. I should add that I also wired the back up lights in this harness and move the battery connections to hook up in the dash as opposed to the engine compartment.

So, I got a Buss fuse panel with grounds and installed in in the left cubby bin. (Which will eventually be a glove compartment.) Ran some 8ga wire from the battery through a 50A maxi-fuse to the panel.

Now, anything I hook up, relays, etc can all be mounted in the cubby away from engine heat, etc...and easy to access.

Off topic, but I am having a blast working with this Yamaha! Over the winter I plan to pull the body, get it painted, new shocks, etc....

Good location, dry, keeps road dust off too.

Where did you mount the switches? I'm thinking boat looking rocker switches. Trying to get ideas for g16 dash layout/design. Just got glovebox inserts.
