I'm currently having this same issue with my 1999. The diagram shows a spring between the break cables and my cart does not have one. The park break will not engage. Any takers? Is this where the spring for the hill break goes?

I found this thread where you were discussing the parking brake spring on the brake shaft of a 1985 CC DS. Is there any thread info on how that spring is re-installed on the shaft after replacing broken Shaft Blocks? Thanks for any info you have. I've got tp replace broken blocks my '85. |
