Yamaha G22 starting issue
I have a 2004 Yamaha G22, 48 Volt. Recently the cart has developed a problem starting from a stop. It occurs when the cart has been running and brakes applied to a stop. When depressing the accelerator nothing happens. After several attempts it will move. What should I look at for a possible problem area. This is "intermittent" which is the worse problem to troubleshoot. Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Yamaha G22 starting issue
Start by checking the start/stop switch (gas pedal switch), it is in the brake pedal area under your rubber floor mat. I would hook a test light to it, and test it off and on a whole bunch of times. It is 48v, so, if you dont disconnect it and power it yourself, be sure your testing device can handle 48v. If you test it with the carts power, be sure to jack the rear up, or you may need a cast or drywall repair. You can jam a straightened paperclip into the back of the plug while its plugged in to test it with cart power. Also you will need to get negative power direct from the batterys, not the frame.
