Will a Listronics charger work on any 36 volt system?
Will a Listronics charger work on my golf cart?
I learned today that the Turf Rider IV that I purchased will not be including a battery charger. Though I was unaware that when I purchased it, the fact is, I now need to purchase a charger. A person local to me has a 36 V charger made by Lestronic II . From the looks of the cart side of the cord, I believe it was for an EZGO. It is said to be working properly, and the lowest that he will take is $100. If I cut off the EZGO connector, and replace it with the proper one to attach to my Turf Rider IV, will this work to charge the 6 V batteries, 36 V system, for me? I plan to post this in a couple of different areas to try to touch people that know electric carts and charging systems. Thank you. Last edited by Rep; 11-23-2014 at 12:08 PM.. Yes. you will want to know the charger max output and try to match that to the new battery pack. Recommended suggested output is 10% of the battery amp hour capacity.

Well, as someone who has never owned an electric cart, this promises to be...interesting.
I know I'll need to purchase batteries, and if I understand what you've said, I need to mindful of what I purchase if I have already pre-purchased the charger. I have talked to a person somewhat local to me who sells new Deca GC10 batteries. A set of 6 for $475 with no core charge. For something that will only be used sporadically, unless advised otherwise, I'll likely select a modestly priced set. Thank you for your help. |

The 21 amp max marked on the case should match up well with any average battery
If you are not doing a historical restoration, consider upgrading the drive system to solid state operation. |
