During that time it can be scratched off a little too easily. But, after a full week it hardened and it's working quite well. I'm still very careful with it, but it appears to be holding up.
X2. Been using that type for a while and I've been very happy with it. Matte black for sure, gloss I'm not a fan of.

I used Krylon Fusion a few years back on my friends Ez-Go - Went from tan to semi gloss black and it still looks good. I tend to stay away from anything rustoleum as it takes a month to dry compared to 15 minutes for the Krylon.

See, I find the opposite. Krylon I won't bring into the shop. I've had too much bubbling, peeling, and flaking over winter. The 2/1 Rustoleum I used last week, I painted a roof and dry over a weekend.

I painted mine during my rebuild and Everything I researched was all over the map with this. I searched on this board, as well as anything else I could find on the Internet. There's a guy on the body work section here that sounds like he's a professional painter. He even said it seems to be a bit of a crapshoot from roof to roof. There's also posts about pro shops that won't even do it, due to all of the problems.

I followed all of the clean, scotch brite, adhesion promotors, etc. I even found a post on the net about torching it and wiping with alcohol to remove any surface oils. I did all of that and my first attempt with rustoleum for plastic was a failure. Would it have begun to adhere better if I let it be for longer? I don't know, but you could scrape it right off two days later. Not in all spots, which gave me hope, but it wasn't a result I was going to roll with.

In the end, I was successful with cleaning, scotchbrite, more cleaning, torching, wiping with alcohol, bulldog adhesion promoter, krylon fusion. I'll post some pics tomorrow when it's light out.

Good luck, and post what ends up working for you.

I scrubbed that ez-go with a scotchbrite and lacquer thinner to clean it - Seemed to work well.
