EZGO castellated nut torque
On EZGO DCS cart, what is the amount of torque that is recommended for the castellated nut on rear hub assembly?
I read somewhere here is if you have a squeaky wheel, to check this nut and any play in the hub. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Is this something I should check for a sqweeky rear end?
The squeak gets faster as you increase speed. Full speed, you hardly hear it. Seems like while making turns, it stops as well....not real sure. Just started happening today, have not noticed it before. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: EZGO castellated nut torque
I would check them, usually if they are responsible for the noise, they have very little torque (can be loosened with regular pliers) or can be spun with your bare fingers.

Re: EZGO castellated nut torque
Otherwise your trouble could be a bad bearing.

Took off the tire to figure out the sqweeky sounds.
For one, the lug nuts were not finger loose, but needed very little effort with socket to get the lugs off. Took a torque wrench and torqued the castle nut...not sure if it moved much. Did not have to go to the next slot. Put everything back together and took a little drive and did not hear the sqweeks. If anything, I am glad I did this exercise just for the lugs nuts alone....being loose. Tightened all the others tires while I was at it. We shall see... Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: EZGO castellated nut torque
Will a loose castle nut effect the spline problem I am having? I keep wearing them out on the right wheel.

Re: EZGO castellated nut torque
Should I stop at 90lbs or keep going until cotter pin hole is visible?
