Default Brake pedal disassembly

Does anybody know how to remove the ends from the pin that holds the two halves of the brake pedal together? I need to get the two pieces separated because they are heading off to get sandblasted and powder coated with the body in a couple days.

On my 97, it was a long pin with just one push nut. The other end was like a head of a nail. I just beat the push nut off with a hammer and screw driver. Yours looks to have 2 push nuts.

AB is correct- just take the push nut off and slip the pin out. Putting it back together, you may have some issues if you've never done one before, the springs can be a pain.

Finally got it off. Had to use a vice grips to hold the pin and pry between the vice grips and cap, each time rotating the pin a little.

I can say that it took me almost 2 hours to disassemble the whole brake pedal, when it took me nearly that long to disassemble the whole cart.

It's going to take you longer than that, to get the SPRINGS and pedal back together
