Brake Cable Mount
We were given a 2000 Ezgo electric TXT in very poor shape. One of the first things we found was that the brake cables had been welded into the rear mounting brackets by the brake drums. After ordering new parts, I found that the bracket where the brake cables mount prior to the equalizer has one side that is a lot bigger than the other. In fact some time in the past someone had installed a screw clamp around the brake cable to keep it from passing though the hole. I have looked online but was unable to find a replacement mount other than the one listed for a Club Car. Are all of the brake cables the same size where they mount prior to the equalizer? Any ideas on how to repair or replace the bracket?
