Default Solenoid clicks, won’t move forward or reverse.

Hello,

I have a 1996 EZGO TXT Series.
I measure 32V between B- and M- on the controller.
When I press the pedal the solenoid clicks and the voltage drops out.
The cart has new batteries and is showing 38V.

Thanks!

Try measuring from M- to B+. Should start at about 0V and climb up to battery pack voltage (38V) as pedal is pushed.

That tells us the amount of voltage being applied to the motor.

OK when I measure between B+ and M- I get 6 to 8 V it fluctuates then press the pedal and it goes to 38 volts.

Okay, there is power going out of the controller to the motor, but is it getting there?

Measure between the A1 and S2 studs on the motor. (If the F/R is wired same as attached schematic and F/R is in F)

If you get 38V there and there is no movement or smoke from the motor, the motor is sick.

Well I get 37.4 V at the motor no smoke no movement.
F/R appears to be correct I don’t think it’s ever been touched.
Not the result I was hoping for, but thanks for your help!
