Voltage reducer wiring question
who has installed one of these type reducers....not me
The directions say that the large eyelet is supposed to be hooked to the neg. side of a 2 battery pack.(or B- on controller)--no problem I get that--easy It then says to connect the 2 spade terminals to "positive wires on my accesories." farther down in the directions..it says on a 48V with no controller..."...then connect the negative wires of your accesories to the positive terminal of your first battery in pack." i know im not running positive ground The last reducer I installed just got put in betweenthe ground wires and the battery negative...inline between the ground wires and the neg. post on the second battery in 16V pack. Is this one the same?? the other only had 1 wire in and 1 wire out. this 2 wire in thing is whats confusing me. Does anyone have plain english..not chinese to english idea on proper way to hook this thing in there. geez this was supposed to be a 10 minute/1 beer job |

Re: Voltage reducer wiring question
Can you link us to some literature? A diagram? You should have a simple 2 wire in / 2 wire out situation ??? Is it a 48 to 12 volt reducer?

Re: Voltage reducer wiring question
I keep looking at the picture that is sooo bad it looks like it came from a fax machine that is 100 years old. It looks in the picture that it is just hooked to a "grounding block" for all the accesories...and then to the neg. battery terminal...just like the other one I had installed. But then I read the chinese/english directions and get confused...seems they may be calling the wires heading from out of the bulbs back towards the negative batt. terminal still "positive", even though I am thinking of them as negative or ground.

Re: Voltage reducer wiring question
Sometimes those directions are translated and somethings just don't jive!!!
Are you familiar with the stock CC 18 to 12v reducer? It may work the same. Again is there any literature on the web? |
