Another voltage reducer question
Sorry to all about another VR question ...
Is anyone using the heavy duty 30 amp model, that is available thru the sponsor cart parts + ? If so, opinions on the unit and what are you powering ??? Thanks to all (great forum, loaded with excellent info) |

Re: Another voltage reducer question
All VR's are about the same with the exception of amperage.
What are you trying to power with this VR? |

Re: Another voltage reducer question
SCOTTYB at Carts Unlimited says the 30 amp model he sells is working great. What are you trying to power that you need that high amps draw and how near to max are you pulling? If its close to 30 amps you might be better off with a separate 12 battery to power your needs?

Re: Another voltage reducer question
I just found out a buddy of mine has a 30amp heavy duty converter he has never used and is sending it to me. Otherwise, I would have bought one of Scottyb's. From what I am reading, a 30a unit should be more than enough to run lights and a stereo with a modest internal amp in it, which is about all I need one for. But I'd rather have amps to spare than be pushing it with a cheaper converter. It will be nice to know I should be able to add something else on later but as of this moment, I can't think of anything else I'd want. I'm not into accessory lights or neon strips and such and can't think of a need for a cigarette lighter adapter (don't think I need my radar detector on my golf cart).
