$1350? I'd jump on it in a heartbeat unless there were major issues.

Default Looking at used Precedent, need advice

Thanks for all the responses. I spoke with the guy, who's the manager of a golf course. There's actually 7 of these available, with very minor nicks and scuffs on the bumpers. He said the batteries all test good, but they have been used for 36 holes every day in the summer. I'm guessing I should budget for batteries within a year. I actually got him down to $1500 over the phone, which I think should be a smoking deal ($1200 usd). I actually might buy two!

$1200 I think is a great deal for a Precedent in that condition

On 05's here are some things that you may want to budget for:

- Batteries (they more then likely have been changed once already but would be due again)

- Brake pads
- Front bushings ( A-arms, front leaf spring)
- Rear bushings (rear leaf springs)
- King pins will probably be worn, and if they weren't greased properly you will need to do the bushings on the spindles
- Check the front wheel bearings for slop and noise
- Brake cables (they may have been updated already)
- Seat bottom (you can see from the photo they are cracked in the corner, pretty typical, seat back should be fine)
- Pick one that doesn't have damaged underbodies
- Check where the seat hinges into the battery box and pick one that isn't cracked
- The windshield and the bag cover will be throw away
- See if you can lift a couple of the front ends off and pick the least sloppy one
- Listen for motor noise when test driving, put the cart in tow mode and push them, if you hear clicking, the motor is going out.
- Also slowly accelerate and hold the pedal at different positions to see if you get "missing" first sign of MCOR
- Battery cables, unless they have been upgraded

Typically golf courses do the minimum to keep them running, so you will find all sorts of interesting fixes. The reason they are priced they way the are is because Club Car is giving them far less on trade in value for new ones.

We just got a fleet of 06's in and during our refurbishing process have had to change pretty much the entire list above, plus some controllers, to ensure that the carts were up to our standards.

Best of luck and please don't hesitate with any questions!

Whoa, dos! Are both for you? If you don't mind me asking, what did you end up getting them for?

That's a great deal. $2400 US for two. Let me show you what $2400 gets around my area

The only thing I'm not fond of is the missing CC decals up front
