The solenoid should only energize (click) when the pedal is pushed, and the keyswitch is on and a direction is selected. See attached schematic.

However, if the solenoid is energizing and staying energized when the key is turned on, the cart should still run, so there is more than one problem to be fixed.

I just did the throttle test as stated in post #6 and in reverse it reaches about 2700 ohms and forward reaches about 5220 ohms if all this seems correct what do i check next

Check this link: https://www.evdrives.com/category_s/2467.htm to see how to determine if your ITS throttle is good or bad. Just remember that when your cart is up on jacks, DO NOT keep the rear wheels spinning on high. If you do this could cause the motor to over-rev and fly apart. Yup...internally destruct. Then you will have more problems to deal with. So, when you depress the throttle fully, don't do it for long.

You do not have a an ITS (Inductive Throttle System), so the linked website wouldn't have helped.

Your Pot-Box throttle (0-5K) appears to be working, but the controller is not opening up fully, or was in Reverse when you got 38V when solenoid closed and 25V when pedal was all the way down.

Try measuring from M- to B+ (with F/R in F). The voltage should go from Zero when solenoid clicks to full pack voltage when pedal is on floor.

Ok i checked voltages in forward and reverse and i am getting the same readings as before. It doesnt go down to 0v when pedal is depressed all the way.

In my last post (#36) I switched test points from M- to B- to M- to B+, the voltage should have gone from Zero with pedal up, to Pack voltage with pedal down.

What is the voltage between M- and B+ with pedal down?
Does it EXACTLY match the voltage between the B- and B+ terminals on the controller with the pedal down?

If those two voltage don't match, either the controller isn't being told to open up fully (throttle issue) or the controller isn't doing what it is being told to do. (Bad controller)
