Re: ezgo txt48 solenoid rattle
The intermittent problem suggest a bad connection somewhere. The problem with intermittent trouble is it can only be located when it is acting up.

Re: ezgo txt48 solenoid rattle
When you left it did you turn the key off and back on again when it is now working ?? Points to a bad keyswitch. 48 volt txt carts provide the + power to the solenoid pretty much straight from the pack through the keyswitch. No other switch involved. The - side is completed by the controller once all the other requirements have been met..

Re: ezgo txt48 solenoid rattle
Next time it does it, put your meters + lead on the yellow wire on the solenoid and the - lead on the - of the battery pack. With the key on there should be 48+ volts. If there is, hit the go pedal and see what happens. If you still have 48 volts and it is still chattering, the problem is somewhere else in the activation circuit. If not 48, turn the switch on and off a few times to see if you get it. Definite test is to pull the switch and bypass it.

Re: ezgo txt48 solenoid rattle
Okay, I did what you said and it was still above 48, both with the go pedal up and down. Is it going to be complicated to bypass the circuit? As u can tell from my avitar I work at a golf course and have about 60 carts to mess with from time 2 time when things go wrong and the ezgo man is gone (he come here about 2 times a month) . I am a noobie but am trying to learn. Thanks for all ur help and knowledge so far!

Re: ezgo txt48 solenoid rattle
If you have 48 on the yellow wire it is unlikely the keyswitch. Now you need a wiring diagram ans some time to chase where the issue lies
