Default Taylor Dunn just clicks won't go.

I have a Taylor Dunn that is new to me.
Put new batteries in it, and it moved first time I tried it.
Moved much faster than I expected, so I put the brake on hard.
Haven't got it to do anything, but a clicking sound since.
This is an industrial cart. I've figured out I think it's a R 360 Roadmaster.
I'll put on a couple pictures. There is a lever that the brake pedal moves.
I suspect that has a switch that stops the current when you step on the brake?
My thought is maybe it is the problem.
Does anyone have any advise?
Thanks

This would be the switch in question.

Summer has gone past, and it's time to put it away for winter, but finally got it running.
There was rebuilt controller, a new accelerator, and brake switch involved in the fix.
Next spring will be here soon.

We have 14 Taylor-Dunns at work that I have to keep going. All 2007ish models, three-wheelers and four wheelers. 24 and 36V. The switch on the brake is nothing but a brake-light switch. Common no-go issues are the seat-switch, F&R rocker-switch and batteries for us. I love these old workhorses. It's hard to find one that is not completely worn out after years of industrial use. Mines the fastest in the warehouse at 19MPH......

Really happy with this Taylor Dunn.
Have been using it around the yard.
Even pulled the lawn roller.
