Club Car Slowing down
Hi
My 2010 Prec 6 8v Trojan's is starting to slow down. The batteries are 4 yrs old and properly maintained. Going up a hill with a passenger is brutal (150 lbs) My top speed is supposed to be 19.5 mph Speed control 4. I am not handy so diy is out of the question. Thanks Alan |

Re: Club Car Slowing down
Thanks
I will run it over to the cart shop and have them check the batteries to rule out something else. Alan |

Re: Club Car Slowing down
How fast did you used to go uphill when the batteries were young. Going up a moderate hill with a Precedent should peak out at about 13MPH with new batteries. You will only get 19.5 on flat level ground.

Re: Club Car Slowing down
When l go up a hill alone l am ok but with a passenger (approx 150 lbs) I feel like 13 mph.
I was told that if l change my tires from 8.5 to 10" l will gain approx 2 mph. I was planning on changing tires and wheels in Dec |

Re: Club Car Slowing down
The controller regulates rpm not mph, so it will go faster than 19.5mph with larger diameter tires (wheel size is irrelevant), but only on level surface since it will loose torque uphill.

I stand corrected on the tire size.

Re: Club Car Slowing down
Also, just a note. 8.5 and 10.5 are wheel sizes. This change is not what gets you more speed. Changing tire diameter to a larger (taller) tire will get you the speed. I have 10.5 wheels and did not gain nor would expect to gain speed.
