Water spots on dash??
Club Car, resister cart with wood grain dash (some type of plastic) has developed white spots that will not come off. The cart sat out over night during unexpected rain.
When I went out at noon I noticed the spots. I believe the dash was exposed to the sun much of the morning. In an earlier experience, water got on the dash while washing the windshield. I did not notice it for some time. I then noticed a foggy appearance to the surface under the water drops. I dried it off and over the day the fogginess disappeared. I am thinking that since the water dried on its own from the sunlight, perhaps drying the surface first, that maybe moisture is trapped under the clear finish. Any one have any ideas how to correct this. |

Re: Water spots on dash??
Is it a 36 or 48 volt? Have you checked the batteries?

Re: Water spots on dash??
Sorry, wrong thread. Try armor all. That should do it. If not, clean it well and shoot clear coat on it.

Re: Water spots on dash??
Thanks Moon carter for the reply.
Perhaps I misstated calling them 'water spots'. The blemish is actually under the surface now. You can rub the spot with no effect. I am thinking that these dashes are water resistant, but not water proof. In original post I mentioned that I had left water on the dash after washing the wind shield and wiped the water off only to find 'milky' spots where the water had stood. After about a day the spots were gone. The original finish evidently evidently is softened by water if exposed to it for some time. |
