Re: 92 Club Car DS not getting power to solenoid
I assume the tests of the switches where without power on them, so the next game is "Chase The Voltage". For that test you need to have at least one back tire off the ground, the key switch ON, the F+R in Forward and the throttle slightly depressed.
Test for voltage at each point of the solenoid activation string. Small green wire at the large solenoid post (where the small red wire and the red cable connect) > Key s/w in (green) and out (blue)> Multi-step m/s in (blue) and out (green)> F+R m/s in (green) and out (white)> Small solenoid post (white with red wire and banded end of diode also on that post)> Controller #1 (red) Also , if someone went by a Curtis wiring diagram, an in-line fuse is suggested in the green wire feeding the key switch. . |

Re: 92 Club Car DS not getting power to solenoid
Okay I've check voltage at all of those places and all have full voltage except the small solenoid post. Nothing there. Also the white out on the F-R m/s has no voltage. Micro switch bad?

Re: 92 Club Car DS not getting power to solenoid
The cam for the F+R m/s may be worn enough that it won't trigger the m/s. Try triggering the m/s manually. You may need to bend the finger of the m/s or build up the cam.

Replaced all microswitches, and took a look at the cam on the f&r switch. You were correct, it was not engaging the ms, but when I did engage it, both the blue and green wires from the ms in the vglide started melting. Now what?

Wow, that's a new one for me. Melt down would suggest resistance or a short. Hopefully Sergio or TahoeDawg will chime in.

Re: 92 Club Car DS not getting power to solenoid
Hey Bamafan. Is the wire going to the v-glide green or green and white (not that the color itself matters)? Is it coming from the micro switch closest to the body on the bottom tab?

Yes Moon that is correct. Green wire coming from m/s closest to body. Also melted the blue wire connected to the m/s in the v-glide.

Re: 92 Club Car DS not getting power to solenoid
My cart has the Curtis Controller on it. And I have a wiring diagram for it. I've checked the wiring numerous times and I'm 99.9% sure that I have everything wired correctly.
