I used the following product to restore the plastics and it did a good job! I have everything off the cart and was thinking since it is off now is the time to do something if I am going to do it. Thanks for the youtube videos. The heat gun does look pretty easy. Does it seem to last a good amount of time?

I have a 2006 Precedent and my plastic looks like new. Here is a link to the stuff that you can use on the mat, the dash panel, the storage spaces, the pedals, everythiing that is black. It is not slippery. No silicone. This bottle will do at least 4 Precedents. First application on really greyed out plastic will probably need a second coat in 4-6 months. After that, good for a year.

Think I am going to stop and get a cheap heat gun on my way home and give it a shot. I will be able to use it for other things like heat shrinking the wiring later.

Update, I got a heat gun and started the process. It was looking good until I got to the plastics that I already applied the renew color. Not sure if that stuff sealed the plastic but it did not change it. So I started the painting process.

Additional info for post #12.
This product can be used on all black parts of the cart including the floor mats and the gas & brake pedal. It is not slippery and lasts 8-12 mo on first application and reapply about once a year after that. Applies with a foam applicator, supplied with the product. Goes a long way. Here is before and after, one coat applied. 5 min to do what you see here.

I have painted over faded plastic with gloss black and had great results on auto and golfcart trim that has lasted 4+ years.
I used that 2X coverage for plastic stuff I think it is rustoleum.

How long does the heat gun trick last in southern sun before it fades again?

I have used a heat gun before and it will work also. But I think paint is a little cleaner looking.
Just my results.
