87 EZGo Fuel Pump Question
Took the Mikuni fuel pump off my Ez Go for cleaning/inspection. Sandwiched between the pump and the engine block is a fiber gasket and a plastic piece shaped like the gasket. Is there supposed to be one fiber gasket on each side of the plastic block, or is there only a fiber gasket between the engine block and the plastic block?
Thanks |

Re: 87 EZGo Fuel Pump Question
One gasket between the engine, and the plastic spacer. The pump has a rubber "O" ring that goes against the plastic spacer.

Re: 87 EZGo Fuel Pump Question
Thanks, I had same question. I found a fairly shredded gasket between the pump and spacer on my 85 Marathon Gas (perhaps contributing to a leak).
And also the plastic spacer is broken. Does anybody know where I can get a new one? (or I could make one if I knew the material it is made out of). |
