As previously stated I have swapped the wires over on the switch and still only had reverse. so I swapped over the black and white wires on the controller and now I only have forward. Can I do what Yurtle is trying to tell me and will this fix the problem I dont want to spend another $1000 getting a new controller as this one is only 18 months old.

If you can find a DPDT three position toggle switch, my way will work. It basically does what you did by reversing the two wires on the controller.

If you can find a DPDT three position switch that fits where yours is, then just connect the wire currently on the middle post to either wire on the outer posts and tape off the other one. Then run two wires from the controller to the new switch, and run two wires from the wires that you reversed at the controller to your new switch. I wouldn't cut anything, in case your forward dies and you need to buy a new controller from ScottyB.

I think he's swapping F1 and F2.
Otherwise if I'm mistaken, and he is swapping the wires in the dash he just needs a replacement F&R switch |
