looking for part name for back seat screw
The wood on my back flip seat rotted. I need to get new screws and some type of nut that sits in the wood to attach it. I can't find the name of this part. If anyone can point me in the right direction.

They are called drive-in nuts or T- nuts & you can get them at any hardware store, along with bolts to fit.

Re: looking for part name for back seat screw
I think I know what you're talking about, but forget their name. If it's what I'm thinking, you drill a hole in the wood, then hammer the "nut" in place. The ones I have, have three to four spikes, that dig into the wood. If that's what you are talking about, take one to Ace, Home Depot and Lowes are morons, that can barely show you where the restrooms are located. I've never gone wrong finding rare fasteners at Ace.
Google "wood nut" and you'll see pics of hammer in, as well as threaded nuts. |

Re: looking for part name for back seat screw
what i used was a tee-nut i got at lowes or home depot . I used the ones with holes so you put in a small screw to hold them in place
