Roger. Will do. Peter

There's a little reservoir at the bottom. Do I detach that and clean?

That little reservoir is the float bowl. The float valve, and the brass jets that I told you about are in there.

I'm gathering up all my cleaning materials this week and hope to make progress.

Default SUCCESS!! Re: 1990 Marathon, stopped running (stuck on island)

Woohoo!
Success.
Cleaned carburator, new plug, fresh gas, fixed microswitch = IGNITION!

Firing great.
So thank you.

Last questions.
The rear drive unit initially was not moving. We rolled it forward a bit and that seemed to loosen things up. And it's now moving.

Is there Anything we need to do further at this point? Other than pump up the tires?

Glad you got it running. I would make sure your brake cables are moving freely and even try and get a little grease on them and also make sure you brakes themselves are moving freely. The mechanis where the brake cables attach to the back of the wheel tend to freeze up on these after sitting some time. Make sure they are moving freely from each other. Good luck.

You should get a custom sticker made of some sort to put on the cart in memory of your dad. Glad you are getting her running again.

Also I noticed from the carburetor pics that it looks like you air intake tube has been cut/torn. You wanna make sure you get a filter on that carburetor before running it for any real time and definitely before driving it.
