Bad Boy Recoil IS surges then stops?

I have a 2017 model. Brought it home yesterday and drove it 10-15 minutes in eco mode. Battery went from 1/2 to E very quickly. Going slow I felt it surging a bit then it stopped. Turned key off and back on then it ran a bit and happened again. Eventually turning it off doesn't help but it normally will still go in reverse. Last night fully charged it but ran it today and the same issue again. I had to ride home about 1/4 mile in reverse. By the way one last thing I noticed is that when I hit bumps sometimes it surges and may or may not cut off. Any ideas?

I forgot to respond to this but my dealer took great care of me. Since all this happened same day of purchase and I took it back next day they just traded out for a new one. Said they knew what issue was but part was not in stock and knew I wanted it quickly. Been using new cart for several months now on a weekly basis and it's great so far.
