Home made brake switch--with photos
Ok, So after spending quite some time on the internet; and seeing a lot of after market switches , with holes thru the brake pedal to stick on rubber pads ; I decided to make my own.
I took a standard micro switch and mounted to a 1 1/8 tall piece of wood and installed in such a way that it presses against the portion of the brake pedal that is below the floor. Since the switch is normally closed ; the slighted movement away with the brake pedal assemble activates the switch closed. No wires showing and very reliable. Although i used self-taping screws thru the plastic under carriage you could always nut and bolt. However with so little pressure against the micro the self tappers work just fine |
