Club Car DS slow speed of 3mph
I have a 1988 Club Car DS. It takes a charge and starts of at a great speed but about 2 minutes into the drive it drastically slows down to the point we have to get out and push it up hill. What could be causing this?

One dead cell in one battery will kill it.
Won't be able to pass enough current to charge others correctly. Check all cells with a hygrometer. Get it at an auto parts store. Get one with a floating tube not the floating ball type. |

I also have a 1988 DS. That definitely sounds like batteries. Make sure your charger is 100% working and shutting off automatically before plugging it into your new batteries.
