Default Ezgo problems,

2006 36volt txt. Took the cart out and it slowly stopped going, I was in tall grass. It tried to go again after a few minutes. Now nothing at all. The solenoid does not click, I get pack volt on the battery side of the sol. And 3.5 volts on the other side. The resistor gets very hot.
I replaced the foot switch, f&r switch, and solenoid. What else am I missing?

Typically if the resistor gets hot when you try to go it is because the solenoid is not closing but the controller is powered up and the throttle signal is good.

It stays hot, even when with the key off? I'm looking for key switch diagrams right now

So the key switch reads pack volt on b, then pack volt on I when the key is on. The solenoid still won't click, and the resistor gets hot, even when the key isn't on? Not sure what else to troubleshoot

I got .7 volts lower than pack voltage on the controller side of the solenoid, but nothing on the small terminals

You are just reading the resistor. For some reason the controller is allowing current to pass when the key is off ? Not sure I know why. This will draw the batteries down hard unless you disconnect when you are not working on the cart.

My question would be is the controller getting power to the red wire in the molex? if yes how?
