Default Led headlights not adjustable and too bright

My 2017 Rxv came with led headlights. They are not adjustable, and because my cart is street legal and registered as a LSV, I drive it on the streets frequently. Nearly every car I meet flashes their brights at me because I am blinding them. Any body know if I can put a 12 volt to 6 volt reducer just on the headlight circut to cut down the brightness? I used the aluminum foil tape that a/c guys use to wrap ductwork to cut down the glare, but it looks stupid. Note: I'm running my lights off a seperate 12v battery...not the 4 that fuel the motor.

Thanks

I don't know a lot about the rxv headlights, but I do know that trying to run 12v LEDs from 6v will not work.

You can get some window tint film and put on the lights.

How do they mount, screw in from behind or front? Of behind add washers to the bottom screws to aim them down, if in front add washers behind the top screws.

I agree with Ark. Aim them down if possible.

Some LEDs will get dimmer with lower voltage but most have a cutoff of about 10v. Maybe a resistor might work. You can also try window film that is slightly opaque to cut down on glare.

I added headlights to my g29 Yamaha and couldn't find adjustments. As it turns out you just move the headlight by hand to where you want it.

They look exactly like the factory lights...no adjustments....no washers..mounting bolts etc...Hadn't thought about the tint...might try that
Thanks

Any sources for inline resister ?

Radio shack. You'll have to splice it in. Only thing though is you will need to figure out what size you'll need.

I did run my led lights off a single 6volt battery (36 volt cart)on my ez go before I did a 48v upgrade and it ran the lights fine and they were noticeably dimmer.

I used a 360 ohm 5 watt resistor on mine and it made rather little difference. A potentiometer may be good so you can dial in your brightness.

But the tint sounds like a good idea to me. Regardless of the brightness, LEDs produce glare and it'll be bothersome. Maybe the tint would help with that?

I ordered my resistors from BGMicro.com or Ebay, can't remember which.
