EZGO TXT 2006 - Several Beeps then quit running
So last night I took my cart out and about a mile in I got a series of what sounded like 3 beeps and cart would not accelerate / move.
I took the following troubleshooting steps: Tested battery pack voltage which looked fine (37v). Verified Reed switch is functioning (I get reverse tones when cart is in reverse). When I went to test the solenoid I noticed I'm always getting continuity on it, do I need to completely remove it to test it? I do hear the solonoid click when I press the pedal. Any ideas on how I should proceed? |

Sorry meant to include that. I have the PDS.
I did completely remove the solenoid and connect to 36v power source, I hear an audible click but there is 0 continuity between the large terminals. I'm guessing that's my issue. The resistor must have been what my meter was picking up when I tested in the cart. I did notice that my solenoid has no diode between the smaller terminals. Do I need a diode? |
