Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
Ok, so if you still have 38v on a 48v cart, that will definitely be related to your problem.

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
It's not a 48v, it's a 36v cart. It is the 1999 G16e.
I am going with the solenoid being the issue since I do not have clicking at the solenoid. There are four post on my forward reverse switch and they all read 13v a piece? I am guessing that is was it should read. Should the gas pedal microswitch click when I push it in with my finger? If so, mine does not click. Thanks again for your help! |

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
Follow the links to the wiring diagram for your G16E.
http://www.cunninghamgolfcar.com/s-1...resources.aspx You should have battery voltage into the ignition switch. Since you don't, I'd check the main fuse first. I've seen many times that corrosion keeps it from making good contact and you see a voltage drop. Beyond that follow the wiring diagram. |

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
Can I run a wire to connect both big post on the solenoid and hit the gas to see if it runs? Would hate to try it and burn the wire up?

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
The solenoid can’t be judged as bad if you only have 20 volts through the ignition switch and nothing confirmed at the small terminals of the solenoid. Without having correct outage through the rest of the control circuit you just might do other damage trying to run it that way, even just to test.

Re: 1999 Yamaha g19 won’t move
Why would I get 20v at the switch though?
Is it normal to get 13v at each of the post on the forward reverse switch? |
