Re: help to ID this part
You might want to help them narrow it down a bit? What year, what engine did it fly out of? Pictures?

Re: help to ID this part
I'm not sure if this'll help....
But the plug that came out of the back of the engine... Do you still have it? I was just going through my parts book, and it looks like the oil sensor cord connector (#13) which connects your sensor inside your engine to the wiring harness outside your engine. I don't exactly know where the red wire your talking about, is, or where it goes to, but, here's a pic that may help you get started! |

It is # 13, is there supposed to be a wire comming off it going somewhere ?? This is it it looked like a snipped off wire ???
I still have the plug I cleaned it off and hi temp siliconed it and stuck it back in, it seem to be holding fine ! Think it will be ok ?? I smeared the outside with silicone too.It seemed soft enough Thank you |

Re: help to ID this part
Also what holds # 13 in ?? It too looks like a rubber plug that just presses in. Must not be alot of pressure in these motors

you'll have a mess... AGAIN! It looks like it is just pressed in... #14 is an O ring, I can't seem to find the wiring harness pic for it... I'll try to find something for you, but, so far nothing! I'd suggest trying to find a wire just laying around, or close to the engine, that may match the one you have! I'll keep looking! a little more info on this "red wire", please! (is it on top of the plug? laying in the engine pan? etc...) |
