1982 g1 clutch
I have a 1982 G1. I have disconnected the oil pump. Getting ready to put a new clutch on. My ? Is. Can I use a different clutch now since not using oil pump?

Needs to be a two directional clutch to keep reverse, and some of the 4 stroke clutches are setup for a different rpm range that the 2 stroke so you may lose top end or acceleration

with the primary its not bidirectional like the secondary. Its jut weights or pucks that push out. The G1 has a powerband pretty much like a 4 stroke so I don't think youd be hurt there either. Ive been told the G2-G9? clutch will work but Im not %100 on that. supposedly they are the same but doesn't have the gear on it for the oil pump.
