Default Motor test with 8v battery?

Hi all - I've been troubleshooting an issue in my TXT 48 and one of the tests I was told to try was connecting the motor to a 12v battery using jumper cables (I believe it said to connect A2 and S2, then gt battery positive to A1 and battery negative to S1).

Being a novice, I tried to find youtube videos or forum posts here from folks that have done this before. However, all the info I can find on this is from folks using either a single 12v or two 6v batteries, while my cart has six 8vs. Is there any harm in performing this test with an 8v battery and car jumper cables?

I have never used less than 12 volts. Just use 2 of the 8 volts.

A TXT48 has a sepex motor and the test you describe is for a series motor.

Attached is the test for a sepex motor.
