Default G14 Secondary Clutch

I’m pretty sure this clutch is bad, does anyone know where to find a good replacement?

I think the fixed sheave is in good shape. Thanks in advance.

It's hard to tell but it looks like the plastic buttons are worn through. Any G2,G9,G14 clutch will work. Check with some of our sponsors on the "site sponsors" page. Plowman's is a Yamaha specialist, they are good. Lots of other sponsors there.

Cheap china clutches are not the best option. Most clutches available on line are from china.

Plowmans is the exception.

Thanks for the replies. I talked to Dawn over at Plowmans and she said Yamaha shut their plant down for a few weeks and they’re on back order along with many other parts. It might be in stock around Sept 1.

Vegascarts sells a replacement secondary for the Yamaha G 2-22 that appears to be in stock. Others has used these with success if you don't want to wait until sept.

$99 for an entire secondary? Questioning the quality of that. Or $89 for one that's "less than perfect"...

There were 14 buyers that were satisfied . Vegascarts stands behind what they sell. Lastly but not the least would you want to be without your cart until september when it is now july Dave ? P.S. I don't have one of their secondaries. BUT I do have a lot of their other parts. BUT If I was in the OP position I would order one. P.P.S. With all that is going on I don't think ANY supplier knows when a back order will actually become available.

If it were me, I'd buy the cheap one, use it until I could get the real thing. Then sell it.

Or drive it and see how long it lasts. It might be good for years. Personally I haven't seen anything that VC sells that isn't top quality. AND for the $100 you even getting the spacer that replaces the circlip on the input shaft.

I agree Ray, I'd prob buy the cheapie and drive it. Maybe it would last a few years. But as Dave said, $99 for both clutches is super cheap, I doubt it's anywhere near the quality of factory Yamaha clutches. I mean Yamaha clutches last 10-20 years lol. My G1 was almost 30 years old when I got it, it was definitely the original clutch, I still have it, and it could still be usable. With that said, if I was without my cart, I'd buy the cheap one just to get it going.
