82ezgo crank seal help please
I have my Iggy to E-Z-Go 2-stroke engine on the bench half of it tore apart but I am stuck on the oiler inside I can't seem to get the fan wheel off on that side is there a special trick or is there something I'm not doing I tried a polar I tried tapping on it with a rubber hammer is there a certain thing I'm not doing any help would be appreciated

Well this is the Yamaha Gas section, but I suppose the EZGO 2 stroke crank seals are similar to the G1.
When I replace crank seals on the G1's I used a small sharp point screw to pull it out. You just drill a small hole in the seal, thread in the small screw, use your locking pliers and pull on the screw. You could also put three screws in so you can get a good tug all the way around. That worked for me every time I did seals. Never worked on an EZGO 2 stroke so....most engines use very similar type seals on the cranks, I've worked on dozens of 4 strokes of all varieties. They are all similar. |
