Re: no solenoid click
That looks correct.. may want to check if there is a 4 pin molex connector in the grey wire harness going to the pedal box.. known failure point.

Re: no solenoid click
pedal switch was bad. I replaced it and got power going to the positive small terminal of the solenoid. now I don't have power to the negative small terminal. there is 38V going into the red port on the controller but nothing coming out of the black port. Any ideas?

Re: no solenoid click
Getting any error codes flashed on the LED?
You should get four green flashes and then steady green. |

Re: no solenoid click
When I press the gas pedal with the F/R switch in R everything works and the wheels turn. When I flip the switch to F I get 4 blinks and steady green but nothing happens.

Re: no solenoid click
I'm assuming you're talking about the original F/R switch which was the handle and push rod. I have replaced the original F/R switch and reversing contactor. The new reversing contactor is an SW202 and the F/R switch was provided in the upgrade package. Pictures of the new wiring are attached.

In other words , there is an open in the amp delivery circuit for forward. The same cables are used in both F and R, and one direction doesn't work, so what is left is the contacts or whatever energizes the F solenoid. |

Re: no solenoid click
Got it. I don't know what I did but it started working. There must have been a poor connection because I didn't change any wires just unplugged and replugged them and something kicked on. I charged up the batteries and took it out but it has no power. Do I need to reprogram the controller or something?

Re: no solenoid click
By "no power" I suspect you mean poor acceleration and slows down a lot going uphill.
An Admiral MOT-B1 is a high torque series motor and is going to try to draw a lot of amps when power from a 36V pack, so any weakness in the amp delivery system is going to show up. Are any of the cables or connections getting hot? What does the pack voltage drop to going uphill? Does the LED on the SR turn yellow when pedal is on floor, or does throttle go to 100% when monitoring with Toolkit? Any error codes showing up? |
