When you say the stock 48v controller is weak, are you talking about an anticipated longevity issue or weak as in holding the cart back from its performance potential? |

Red wire to J1 Black wire to J2 White wire to J3 Orange wire (half-speed reverse) to J5 Program port J4 You will need power on B+ and J1 before the programmer will turn on. If the controller is exposed to water, you should apply extra silicone sealant around the areas where the terminals penetrate the bezel. . |

Re: 2000 EZGO TXT Series - Upgrades for speed
As long as that reading was taken 12 or more hours after the charger shut off It's good. Next attach the meter probes to the battery pack main + and main - and go for a ride. Note what the voltage sags to under heavy acceleration. Floor it. The voltage will come down and start to recover some slowly. We want the voltage where it bottoms out. Do this going up a hill if you have one. Hopefully not lower that about 31.5v.
Also, what are you using to measure speed? An app on the phone is fine but let the cart run some distance to get the top speed. If you can find 50-100 yards of level hard surface, pavement if possible would be good. Driver only and tires 20psi or greater. |
