G16 truns over and over and wont start then runs thens stops again.

I put a new carb on my g16 it was running fine. I come out the next day and it runs the dies but turns over over over and if you let it long enough it'll back fire. Which i would assume its loading up with fuel so fuel is ok. Tested spark plug it was ok, if you press the peddle up and down fast and make the generator keep starting it.

It will run for a bit then stop again, then other time run for quite a while. If i get to where I'm on an incline it wont want to start either just turn over forever and load up. Any ideas what this might be? and what is the little black plastic adjustment screw for like for idle but you can make the cart idle and it runs with it either direction. Well when it was running ok...

Check the plastic spacer before the carb.Did you maybe crack it?

If you replaced you carb and it ran fine, you probably found a new problem. Backfiring and popping can be caused by carberation. More than likely, it's a fouled plug or a coil going bad. Valve adjustment will cause similar problems, I would adjust the valves first. Then I would inspect the spark and determine if there's a problem with that. If it still isn't fixed. I would test all the coils and replace anything found bad.
Did you install a new fuel filter in line between the tank and the carb? If not, replace it.

I believe it was the fuel pipe joint that comes out of the tank. I put a bunch of silicone around it last night and now it runs fine so ill have to order one. Thanks guys
