Club Car Gas Choke Question
Why is it every time I get on my 01 DS Club Car FE290 I have to choke it and then its fine? Or i can pat the accelerator and baby it and it might take off? Could the carb need cleaning? Also sometimes it will keep running when I stop even with the key off? Maybe the cable adjustment or the micro switch?
Thanks Rose88 |

Re: Club Car Gas Choke Question
Welcome to BGW Rose, You have answered both of your own questions correctly.
Pull the carb and give it a good cleaning and blow out making sure that the throttle butterfly is closing completely in the carb when off the pedal and not just stopped against the throttle stop screw. Also make sure the airbox assy is sealed correctly, Adjust the pedal "run" micro (the top one) so it is fully breaking the run circuit buy dropping in the cam notch when off the pedal. To test if it is the micro switch or a sticking solenoid, while it is running in neutral, unplug one of the wires from the top micro and it should stop. |
