Lestermatic Charger goes bump
OK Boys here is the deal.. Lovely wife (why do we love them?) went to back the cart out of the garage and guess what? Still plugged in. Crash it goes off the table to the concrete floor. It turns on and hums but when it is plugged into the cart I get no reading on the gauge.
it says replace fuse from the inside. Is it a simple as replacing the fuse or am I &^%$##ed? Charger and cart particulars: CC 3 pedal era 36 V cart. lestermatic model 8714 serial # 12-78 type 36LC25T12 What do you all think? |

Re: Lestermatic Charger goes bump
I think you need to get into the habit of running the charger cord through the steering wheel so she doesn't do it again next week!
DO you have a voltmeter? Check the pack voltage and plug the charger in ... recheck the voltage, Is it increased? The charger is working and the gauge took a dive. Not working, Just humming? Might be time to take it to a GC shop. Special fuse inside.... |

Re: Lestermatic Charger goes bump
Thats what I like about later model Club Cars in that when charger is plugged in they cant be driven until unhooked.
Our park has a lot of carts of different brands and that are charged each night after work and they solved the same problem by hooking keys to charger so unless you are drunk you will unhook before driving away. Sure solved lots of cart and charger repairs? |

Re: Lestermatic Charger goes bump
if you have a voltage meter put the red probe on pos term of #1 battery and black probe on neg term of #6 battery that will give you your pack voltage.......................................

Re: Lestermatic Charger goes bump

Re: Lestermatic Charger goes bump
Bettery #1 on your cart is the front battery on the Passenger side. Battery #6 is the front battery on the Driver side.

Re: Lestermatic Charger goes bump
Glad to hear it ....Those old chargers are tough
Start threading the charge cord through the steering wheel when it's plugged in so she won't do that again |
