Default clutch bolt

i missed placed my rear clutch bolt for my 87 club car is there a place that might sell them i checked with the sponsors but i could not find any :(

or can i just use a bolt from a hardware store with a washer or something ???

I don't know what the thread count is or the hardness or how long it should be, if it has a shoulder or threaded all the way. Too many things to guess at. You are going to need to know these things before you start looking. Especially the thread count. you should probably have at least a grade 8 bolt. If you have a real old fashion Hardware store, you may find one, but, it is unlikely you will find one at Lowe's, Home Depot, or NAPA Auto, etc. Best bet is to call a CC dealer and order one unless you can find one off a dead cart someplace.

i found a bolt on my cart that fits perfect in to the rear clutch, it has a "M" marking on the top of the bolt, im trying to see if anyone else has that marking on there's just to see if its the correct bolt

If it is left hand thread, (turns counter clockwise to tighten) it is most likely the missing bolt. Left hand thread bolts are just not that common that you would happen to "find" one that fits perfect just laying around your garage. (unless your garage looks like mine, really big and a mess )

The rear clutch ( driven ) shouldn't be left handed IIRC . The front clutch ( drive ) is.

i really did not pay any attention to the threads on the bolt, all i no it fits in there really nice and tight with out any wiggle.....

Standard 5/16-18 (coarse thread) 1" long. Common bolt from any hardware will be OK.
