Dave,

Take a look at the US Batteries if you don't want the Trojans. My battery dealer who sells all 3 said the US's are the best of the three. They have had the best luck with them at least. They actually turned me away from the Trojans. They said they have been cutting corners and lost the CC contract. They have had several trojans where the tops popped off when being carried by a battery carrier. The US 12V batteries also have a higher min rating than any of the others.

Crown makes several 12 volt batteries but don't show them as "Golf Cart" batteries (probably due to limited use in carts). Check their web site and look under the "Deep Cycle" section. Your dealer may only have information as to batteries shown as golf cart. These are excellent batteries and have been around for 75+ years. They are heavy sellers of industrial batteries.

Have you considered switching over to 6-8volt batteries? They will give you a longer run time. (more lead=longer time).

Crown does make deep cycle 12v batteries. Call the dealer and check dimensions.

I have heard that one of the after market suppliers is comming out with a convesion (4-12's to 6-8 volts) sometime next year. So am just needing some inexpensive (OK cheap) batteries to get me about a year.

Thanks, Dave
