painting top
Dont want to spend the money on a new top so Im thinking of painting it instead. Right now the color is beige and planning to go black. Has anybody done this to their cart? Wondering how well the paint holds up after being put thru the elements (rain, sun, etc). I was thinking of using the Plasticote brand. Also, wondering if I should primer first due to the change of color especially having beige as a base color.
thx |

Re: painting top
I painted my top black and have had no issues, even when power washed. I cleaned it as good as possible, used a cheap adheasion promoter and then sprayed it plastic paint from Home Depot. It only took an afternoon and has held up great.
Just my 2 cents. |

I've painted 2 tops with Krylon Fusion and still going strong, one is 3 years and one is 2 years now
Just cleaned them real good with 409 and then windex. Good luck |

Re: painting top
Another vote for the Krylon Fusion here. I cleaned my top real good and then wiped it down with a deglosser, sprayed a few coats of the black Fusion paint and it's held up great, every so often it gets a scratch or two on it but I just grab a spray can and touch it up when need be.
